Why read Speculative Fiction?
Basically because it entertains...the "sense of wonder"
draws me.
But, also, I find that the best of speculative fiction
can be like the "teaching tales" of old: by going "beyond" what we perceive
as "normal" we can look back and see ourselves with more perspective.
Thus, in my opinion, the best speculative fiction
draws us on and gives us room to grow...it is simply the best "literature"
being written...
